2024 Holiday Letter

As you may know, the Corini Christmas Card is a long-time tradition, historically featuring me and my 4 siblings in a silly photoshoot (think dressed up as presents, a got milk parody, & playing hockey in swimsuits for a California Christmas, to name a few!) a full page year-in-review letter, and a dedication to someone who made a big impact on our lives. I’m thinking if we still did dedications, my brother, Dan, and SIL, Helen’s baby girl, Melody (the BEST Christmas present ever, born 12/13/24) would likely take the dedication this year as the first grand-child in the family and my first niece! For a look back at when the kittens were still little, here’s my 2023 card and letter from last year, and below is this year’s 2024 holiday card featuring the cats (as always) but now with Melody too!

Ho-ho-ho from the happiest place on Earth (or at least close to it)! Big news: I moved back to SoCal this year to be closer to family & Disneyland (priorities, right?) My brother Dan & Helen welcomed their baby girl, Melody Huang Corini on December 13th (Taylor Swift’s birthday - coincidence? Doubt it!) She arrived at 8:11 AM, 8 Ibs 4 oz. with Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” playing. Honestly, its her world now; we re just living in it.

Before she was born, I threw a Disney-themed baby shower as a magical welcome and a perfect excuse to indulge my Disney obsession. (Yes, there’s already an Alice costume for her to match my Queen of Hearts vibe.) Spoiling her has become my entire personality!

As for me, I’ve settled into my new condo in Orange, minutes from UC Irvine Medical & more importantly, Disneyland, and naturally got a Magic Key pass to fill my days with being a “Disney Adult” (no shame) between doctor’s visits and doting on Melody! Living this close, it’s basically a law.

The cats, Delilah, 14, queenly & unbothered, and the kittens, Julius & Junie, now 1 & 1/2 years old and chaotic as ever, love the new space (especially knocking things off counters.) If you want to see more of their antics or maybe some baby Melody too, follow me on IG (@heather.corini).

Being back in SoCal again has been great, mostly thanks to Disneyland, Melody, and actually seeing friends & family again (not necessarily in that order.) Apparently, living near Disney is what it took for me to get visitors. If you re in the area (or planning a Disney trip), let me know!
